Write up of shoot

We chose to film our establishing wide shot at a time when the weather wasn't sunny and bright as that wouldn't fit in with the mood of our film and create pathetic fallacy. We filmed when the weather was overcast and made sure we chose an area where there wouldn't be many people around.

When filming our shots of creating the letter, we made sure we chose a time of the day when we could make the room dark. We used the light on the camera which highlighted the black and white effect of the newspaper and really worked well.

We filmed our shots of delivering the letter when the weather was quite bright so when editing we will change this to black and white to make it look more like a thriller. We filmed the scene handheld as we wanted a point of view shaky feel, as if the footage is from the view of the letter.

When filming we didn't need to worry about any sound we didn't want as we would be deleting all the sounds on the film and replacing them with music.

  1. Clear account of your shooting choices Rachel, with some interesting camera choices to denote the point of view of the letter.
