We came up with the newspaper and the letter as our first idea of props because we wanted the newspaper element to be like the film opening sequences we watched in the film ‘Seven’ where the scene is shot in point of view, with a person cutting out pieces of newspaper, nonetheless we got the idea of following the process a letter takes, from the film ‘Lord of War’, with the life of a bullet, also shot in point of view of the bullet.
Throughout are film we used various props, throughout are movie such as the letter and the paperboy bag to connote to the character of the Postman, these props were key to creating that character, Secondly we used the newspaper and scissors in the first part of the movie, which was used to create mystery and suspense at the start, these props were the most useful we used, as these props were involved in the central part of our movie. Furthermore, we then used the lighter which was going to be used to burn the letter.
Concluding, the majority of the products we used all had significant parts and roles to play in are film, because are film was based around props.
The film was centred on point of view shots, where a character isn’t visible; therefore this makes the props the main focus in the frame, and what the viewer’s eyes are drawn to.
